Solution offering-How to achieve satisfied translucency?

Jul 07, 2022

We are a company specializing in the sale of dental zirconia and have been in this business for ten years.

There are many reasons for affecting translucency. Today, we analyze the reasons and provide solutions for the problems encountered by customers in terms of translucency.

Question 1: When we sintered according to the preset sintering temperature of 1480℃, the color was still light, what could be the reason?

Analyze the reasons:

When explaining the reason, we first use the video to understand the denture position of the engraving machine's typesetting system, and the influence of the typesetting system on color and translucency. (Add typography position video)

Therefore, the color is too light, it may be the wrong typography position. It is also possible that the thickness of the zirconia block used by the client does not match the denture model. The model is small, the selected zirconia block is thick, and the teeth are mostly placed above the multi-layer zirconia block, which will cause the color to choose more incisal positions, so the color of the teeth is lighter.

Question 2:When we use 3D Pro-ML to sinter, it is too milky white, the incisal end is not translucent, and it is very white. What is the reason for this?

Analyze the reasons:

1. If too many teeth are placed in the crucible at one time, the teeth will not be cooked, so that the best translucency cannot be achieved. There are also quadruple bridges and thicker teeth that are not recommended for fast sintering, which will reduce the translucency and strength of the teeth and make the teeth look whiter.

2. When the incisal groove of the tooth is very shallow, it will also cause the color to be white. Shallow ravines will result in thicker incisal parts, and thick teeth will have less translucency and will be whiter.

3. It is also possible that the sintering temperature is not enough due to the furnace equipment problem. You can use the heating rate recommended in our manual and the maximum temperature of 1500 degrees Celsius to sinter and test to see the effect of tooth translucency.

4. When the incised end is in contact with the tray and the zirconium beads, because the color of the cut is light, it will turn white due to the influence of the zirconium beads, so try to sinter the teeth upright.

Question 3: What is the reason for the yellowing translucency, and the gradient is not obvious?

Analyze the reasons:

Sometimes inaccurate color translucency may be due to contamination of the furnace, and cleaning the furnace can correct color and translucency. Therefore, you can try to purify the hearth of the sintering furnace by air-burning, and then sinter.

Question 3: Why are there inconsistencies in the color of teeth after enamel?

Analyze the reasons:

1. The extreme slanted typesetting of the teeth during the engraving of the Long Bridge may cause inconsistencies in the front and rear colors.

2. During glazing, it is possible that the posterior teeth of the long bridge are mostly glazed, resulting in different colors between the anterior teeth and the posterior teeth on the long bridge.

3. The thickness of the teeth is different, which is more likely to cause such differences.
